The Vanguard Classical School is a Charter School in the Aurora Public Schools system, founded in 2007.  VCS East serves over 500 students and provides a K-8 fully inclusive Classical Education. The school employs a Co-Teaching Model — each grade level has regular education teachers and special education teachers as well as a complete team of specialists.

One School, now TWO Locations:

Vanguard is expanding to include a high school!  There is now a second campus, Vanguard East, which serves students in Kindergarten through 10th grade. It will grow over the next two years to include 11th and 12th grades.

Find directions to visit our new campus at 17101 East Ohio Drive, Aurora.

Ability Connection Colorado (ACCO) was instrumental in launching both Vanguard Classical Schools out of the very same values and inclusive model that guide Creative Options Centers for Early Childhood Education. While they are separate organizations and each has its own 501(c)(3) status, the ACCO offices are housed on the VCS West campus. Many Creative Options families apply to Vanguard to continue their positive experiences with the educational model as well as the stimulating and nurturing environment.
