Assistive Technology Partners services in early intervention and special education. AT refers to tools and services for adapting a child’s environment in order to support their ability to participate actively in many settings. AT Partners is a clinic of University Hospital that provides assessment, recommendations and supports for technology use.
Child Find – Colorado’s system for identifying children with special needs ages birth to 21 (with a focus on early childhood)
Colorado Head Start Programs – Head Start and Early Head Start are federally funded programs for atrisk children and children with disabilities and their families. Programs are independently administered by agencies across Colorado. Check this website for a program in your area.
Colorado Shines — Colorado’s licensing and referral service for quality early learning programs. You can also call the 211 service in your area for assistance finding child care programs.
Early Intervention Colorado (EI Colorado) – In Colorado, the overall system of early intervention is known as EI Colorado for short. It is designed to “connect” a family with early intervention services, such as occupational, speech or physical therapy, to help infants and toddlers under the age of three grow and develop, and to help their family in this process. Look for the Family Members section!
Early Learning and School Readiness – Colorado Department of Education website for early education initiatives.
Early Childhood Mental Health and Behavior – Colorado has a unique program designed to work with young children and their families around mental health and behavioral concerns with specially trained early childhood specialists.

Office of Early Childhood– Colorado office designated to oversee programs and supports for children birth to age 8. This office houses a variety of programs to support children ages birth to 8 and their families.
