COLORADO RESOURCESThe Calabrese Life Opportunities fund is designed to help people with developmental disabilities of all ages to obtain technological devices, applications to be used on technological devices or training on the use of technological devices and applications.
Colorado Fund for People with Disabilities– The Colorado Fund for People with Disabilities (CFPD) was established to develop a supplemental needs trust. The purpose of the trust is to protect a person’s Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Medicaid from being impacted should they receive funds that would make them ineligible for these or other public benefits.
The Colorado Traumatic Brain Injury Trust Fund The Colorado Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Trust Fund was established in 2002 by the Colorado legislature to provide statewide care coordination and services to children and adults with traumatic brain injury, sponsor educational programs about TBI, and fund TBI research.
Guardianship Alliance of Colorado – The Guardianship Alliance of Colorado provides information, instruction, and guidance about guardianship of adults in Colorado. A program of Ability Connection Colorado.
HERO Alliance – promotes home ownership for people with disabilities including information about loan programs.
Family Support Loan Program – The purpose of the Family Support Loan fund is to provide access to short-term low interest rate loans in order to purchase family support services, which help to maintain a dependent family member with a developmental disability in the home. Your family member must be eligible for state services through a Community Centered Board. Check with your CCB case manager for more information.
NATIONAL RESOURCESThe ABLE National Resource Center (ANRC) is a collaborative whose supporters share the goal of accelerating the design and availability of ABLE accounts for the benefit of individuals with disabilities and their families. Achieving a Better Life Experience (ABLE) accounts allow for tax advantaged savings for people with disabilities without a negative impact on benefit programs.
